Synopsis:

A broken heart…a new home…and two men fighting for her hand?

It’s been five years since Molly Thorn lost her beloved husband, and now she thinks she’s ready to move on and start a new family. More than anything, she longs for the laughter of children, the love of a husband, and a loving family to surround her. However, she never bargained for two men to fight over her—or attempt to secure her hand by any means necessary.

Mark has long since given up on finding a bride to call his own, that is until the pretty new widow wins his heart and he finds himself dreaming of a happy future together. Now that another man is threatening his happiness, he discovers the true value of friendship and honesty when he needs it most.

The fighting becomes more intense when Mark discovers that the dastardly Luke’s intentions are not at all what they appeared to be, but he learns that his best friends always have his back. To secure the dreams he treasures, he must act quickly—or all will be lost forever.

Will Molly make the right decision when it comes to marriage—or will her new adventure also be her last chance in life?

Is Mark doomed to spend his lifetime alone and lonely, or will the fight for Molly’s hand finally take a turn in his favor before it’s too late?

Review:
An entertaining and enjoyable sweet love story!

The Pursuit is another sweet western romance in the Family of Love Series. This story is one that will have you turning page after page.  A unique and captivating story with romance and a happy-ending that we all have come to expect. The characters are well developed, engaging and realistic. It is easy to relate to the realism of the characters. I thought the addition of Luke thrown into the mix to try to win Molly’s attention was done well along with the lesson that he learned in the end. Sometimes you don’t always go about things the right way however there can be a better ending then what you expect or thought there would be. Mark had to come to terms with his jealousy and that he did in fact love Molly and wanted to fight for her affections. Molly had to battle herself and what she thought she wanted and what her heart wanted. In the end, love wins out and a beautiful ending it was!

Elliee Atkinson does a fantastic job with the descriptiveness throughout her stories. You get a good sense of the area, the homes and the businesses. I will definitely continue to read the series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. I have read several books by Elliee Atkinson. I have not been disappointed, yet! I recommend this book and series to anyone that enjoys reading a clean western romance with a delightful ending.
