Review:
A story of love, finding oneself and a mysterious creature!
Pearl is another sweet historical romance in the Cowboys and Debutantes Series. A unique and captivating story with romance and a happy-ending that we all have come to expect. This is a story that I had a hard time putting down. It is such a unique and captivating story. Vivi Holt added a mysterious creature into the story that adds some intrigue trying to figure out what it could be. I caught myself laughing out loud several times throughout the book especially once I found out what the creature is. She did an excellent job with this one as I didn’t guess what it was.
The characters are well developed and engaging. I really like that Vivi Holt creates characters that are realistic and easy to connect to with their imperfections, faults and attitudes. The characters become of your friends, family and/or neighbors. Pearl is a woman that has to find herself and learns that she can make her own choices in life. However, sometimes the choices you want can be deterred by what the heart wants when you least expect it. Pearl is a strong woman that wants her independence and yet falls in love with a man that realized he was ready to settle down and have love and a family. Two people that are perfect for each other despite their flaws and because of their strengths and determination.
Vivi Holt is a gifted author that keeps you entertained from the beginning to the end of the story. I will definitely continue to read the series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. She is one of my top go-to authors. I have read several books by her and have not been disappointed yet! I recommend this book and series to anyone that enjoys reading a clean western romance with a charming ending.
