Synopsis:
Opposites attract and sparks fly in the delightful small town of Christmas Creek.
Holly Jolly lives for Christmas. It’s the only time of the year, as far as she’s concerned.
Gordon Gills doesn’t need a reason to hate the holiday season. He doesn’t see the point.
Gordon returns to the mansion he inherited and finds Holly making a mess with her Christmas decorations. Unfortunately, his great-aunt’s will stipulates that he must make merry every Christmas if he wants to keep his inheritance.
Holly is determined to infect the grouchy Gordon with every dose of Christmas cheer she can muster and show him what Christmas is really about.
Will Gordon prevail and turn Holly into a Grinch, or will a sprinkling of Christmas magic show Gordon that there’s no fighting love, especially when it’s wrapped up in a gorgeous redheaded package of jolly holly?

Review:
A festive and cute opposites attract romance!
Deck the Hearts is a great love story of two mismatched people. Holly is festive and happy and determined to spread the Christmas cheer to all. Will is a grouchy scrooge that wants to sell the place he inherited and go back to work – even if he is not happy with his life. What Will didn’t expect was for Holly to start breaking down the hard wall he has built up and to change his perspective on where he is going in life.
Deck the Hearts is an intriguing and well-written story. The characters are well developed, realistic and engaging. Rachelle Ayala is one author who knows how to write a book that will capture your attention from the very beginning. I couldn’t put the book down. I read the second book in the series first, and although this book is good, I thought the second was the better of the two. I think what threw me off was the full name of Holly. It was just a little too much for me.
This is one of several books that I have read by Rachelle Ayala and will certainly not be my last. I have not been disappointed yet! Rachelle Ayala takes her research and knowledge and creates books that will capture your heart and leave you on an emotional high. I recommend Deck the Hearts to anyone that enjoys reading a unique and delightful romance to get you in the spirit of the holidays.
