When Meggie asks her husband, Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell, MC President of the Death Dwellers’, for a church wedding, he agrees because keeping his new found love happy is everything to him.

But when a ghost from the past rolls into town and targets Outlaw Caldwell and his family, it forces him to make decisions that could cost them their happily ever after. Threatening their newfound peace, will Meggie and Outlaw’s love conquer all, or will they both fall back into their destructive patterns that could tear their lives a part?

Review:
An intense gritty biker romance!

Misappropriate gives some insight into Megan and Outlaw’s relationship. They are planning a wedding and building a house. While everything should be perfect, there are insecurities and decisions that they must both make. With a baby on the way, Megan has to put serious consideration into what she wants and what is best for her and the baby. Outlaw has past history that has come back and threatens everything that he holds dear. There were many sexual scenes that were intensely graphic, so if that is not your thing be forewarned.

The author does a good job with the writing and telling of the characters’ stories. You can really get a good sense of what each character feels. The romance between Megan and Outlaw is intense. There is some crazy banter that goes back and forth between th characters. Kathryn Kelly does a great job of intertwining characters from other books in the series throughout this one. As you read each book, you start to feel that you are just reading a continuation of the previous book.

There is a couple of minor thing that I feel takes away from the story. Although it is interesting and kept my attention, it appears that sometimes curse words are excessively used. Yes, it is a biker club book, which has cussing, however even true biker groups don’t use a curse word as every other word in a sentence. I have no issue with curse words in general; they are just too frequent to be “real”.   I do not like Megan as she comes across as whiny and immature. For everything she has been through, you would expect her to be more mature and stronger. Outlaw didn’t appear to be as strong or as solid as the president of a bikers club would expect to be. These characters didn’t do it for me.

Samuel Valor did a great job with the narration. He had a clear and crisp voice that was easy to follow. He did a great job with the voice inflections.

This is the second book that I have read by Kathryn Kelly. I recommend Misappropriate for anyone who enjoys a gritty motorcycle club romance.
