Synopsis:

What is the one thing you shouldn’t do when your wife leaves you? Sleep with your best friend’s sister.

It’s too bad Roan Reddick never got that piece of advice before he fell into bed with Mia Cavalano. She’s smart, sassy, and sexy as hell. She’s also the only woman to flip his world upside down since his wife. And she’s leaving for college in two days, which is good considering he’s not looking for a relationship, not now, not with the agony that lives inside him from his past. But Roan can’t kick the craving he now has for Mia.

One choice changed everything.

After years away, Mia realizes she and Roan just aren’t meant to be. So she vows to keep her focus on her career and forget about the one-night stand that rocked her world so long ago. But when work transfers her back to Boston, a place that holds so many memories, she has no choice but to go. All she has to do is stick to her plan and keep her focus on work, which should be easy, right?

Besides, in a city of half a million people, how hard can it be to avoid the perfect bastard?

Review:
A phenomenal story filled with passion and romance!

The Perfect Bastard is the story of Roan and Mia. A “forbidden” love that they can’t seem to control. Neither wanted Mia’s brother and Roan’s best friend to find out about their time together. Even after years apart, an intense spark still ignites between them. Mia is determined to prove to Roan that no matter your past everybody still deserves love and happiness.

The Perfect Bastard is a well-written story with characters that are well developed and engaging. LK Collins has a talent and gift in creating an engaging and attention-capturing story. Definitely another phenomenal story by LK Collins. I was completely hooked on this story from the very beginning. It was hard when I had to put the book down. This author really brought to life the struggles and difficulties that single parent homes can have. It was a nice touch to see that even though the children weren’t perfect and rebelled, that a unique and nice relationship developed between them and Mia. I did want to strangle their mom for making things more difficult for the children. There were real life issues and solutions that happened all throughout the book. A job well done and keeping things real.  I look forward to reading more by LK Collins.

I recommend The Perfect Bastard to anyone that enjoys a passionate romance that will hook you right from the start and give you all the good feels.
