Review:
An exciting and mysterious adventure!
City of Gold is an adventurous tale that will give you some history of the Incas while the treasure hunters are searching for the City of Gold. The beginning was a little slow for me yet at the same time held some intrigue that I had to continue to read to find out what was going on. I never anticipated the different twists and turns that happened throughout the story. When you think that is the last thing that they could encounter, something else happens. There was so much intrigue and action that I didn’t want to put the book down. Carolyn Arnold really knows how to build up the suspense and keep just enough action to keep your attention up to the very last page.
Carolyn Arnold has written a fantastic story with characters that are well developed and engaging. Every character has challenges that they have to work through that adds to it. Carolyn’s stories are brilliantly written, entertaining, and enthralling. This is a definite winner from this author. I can’t wait to read the next adventure that involves Matthew Connor.
This is the second book that I have read by Carolyn Arnold and will certainly not be my last. I was not disappointed at all. I recommend City of Gold to anyone that enjoys reading an adventurous mystery with unexpected twists and turns.
