Synopsis:
Valerie Dunaway is a former
socialite who has hidden from the public eye for years due to a horrific attack
that left her scarred—physically and emotionally. When a strange masked man
makes himself at home with her, she’s unable to run. She calls the cops, but
the agoraphobic won’t go into protective custody, so Detective Hollerman calls
the only people he trusts: Pierce Securities.
Quinten Pierce is a Renaissance man—artist, lawyer, fighter—but his latest assignment has him losing his ever-present control. He’s got one fight left in his career, and although he can’t wait for it to be over, his opponent seems to have ties to Valerie, thus forcing him to hold on until he finds out exactly who he’s working with.
With the help of the Pierce team, the scarred princess and the gentle giant must silence the murmurs of the past that threaten their future.

Review:
An exciting and entertaining romance!
Murmur was an exciting and well-written
story. There were many twists and turns
that formed a believable unique plot. There was a lot of action and just enough
romance to keep my interest piqued. Anne Conley really knows how to build up
the action and keep your attention to the very end. The characters were well developed and
engaging. She does a great job of intertwining the different characters of the
series throughout the story. Typical of the series, this book does not
disappoint and keeps you on your toes to wonder what is going to happen next.
You don't have to read all the books in order however I think to get a good
feel for the characters that it would be better to read in order.
This is another great read by Anne Conley. I
recommend Murmur to anyone that enjoys reading an action packed romance that
will keep you entertained all the way to the end.
