Synopsis:

When a former schoolmate invites flamboyant senior sleuth Sadie Kramer to a theatre production, she jumps at the excuse to visit the Monterey Bay area for a weekend. With quaint Carmel shops a short drive away and luxurious linens in her hotel accommodations, the excursion promises to be both entertaining and relaxing.

Plenty of action is expected on stage, but when the show's leading lady turns up dead, Sadie finds herself faced with more than one drama to follow. With both cast members and production crew as potential suspects, will Sadie and her sidekick Yorkie, Coco, be able to solve the case?

Review:
An entertaining and charming cozy mystery.

A Flair for Drama is a well-written book that will keep you entertained with a mischievous cute little yorkie.  Sadie and her sidekick yorkie work to solve the mystery behind the murder behind the scenes of a theatre production. The yorkie really steals the shows with the tricks and secret talents that she displays.

The story is full of humor amongst the mystery of who is the killer and why did they kill. The little yorkie adds spunk and humor to the story. It was full of curiosity to see what the yorkie would pull next and what would she find hidden in the picnic basket. I thought the story had a great ending. It really incorporated the yorkie from the beginning of the mystery to the very end. The characters were mysterious which made it not very easy to figure out who was the killer.

This was the first book from Deborah Garner that I had the pleasure to read. It was hard to put the book down as it kept me entertained from the beginning to the end. Deborah Garner is a talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you. If you enjoy reading cozy mystery with a touch of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. An intriguing and enjoyable read.
